Xero's not working. Is it down?

Xero runs on Amazon Web Services (AWS) which is a pretty robust solution and it's unlikely to just 'go down'.

If you have any issues, the first place to check is the service status, which should tell you if there are any platform issues.

For issues with bank feeds, you can check the 'Disruptions to bank feeds' page.

That’s good advice. A lot of people immediately assume the entire platform is down when the issue might only affect specific services like bank feeds or login sessions. Checking the official status page first can save a lot of confusion and unnecessary troubleshooting. It’s also helpful that Xero separates general platform issues from banking disruptions so users can quickly identify what’s actually affected.

Thanks for sharing this information. When Xero has issues, checking the official service status page is definitely the best first step. Even though platforms like AWS are highly reliable, individual services, integrations, or bank feed connections can still experience temporary problems.

If someone is having trouble, it may also help to check whether the issue is affecting only their account or if others are reporting the same problem. Clearing browser cache, sanford bismarck trying another browser, or checking connected bank feeds can sometimes help identify the cause.

Hopefully any service interruptions are resolved quickly.
